The Cat (German: Die Katze) is a 1988 German crime film directed by Dominik Graf. Die Katze ist ein deutscher Kriminalfilm des Regisseurs Dominik Graf, der 1988 veröffentlicht wurde. Der Film nach dem Roman Das Leben einer Katze von Uwe Erichsen war seinerzeit einer der wenigen deutschen Filme dieses Genres, die im Kino Erfolg hatten.
Synopsis. A pesky yellow cat becomes the bane of Mr. Johnson’s life as it constantly outsmarts his increasingly desperate attempts to get rid of it. This used to play in between shows on Nickelodeon when I was a kid. It played so often, I used to get annoyed by it, because it was getting in the way of other things I wanted to watch.
Two bank robbers hold the clerks hostage and demand 3 million German marks as ransom. What the police do not realise is that the true criminal mastermind watches them from outside the bank, anticipating every move.
