[1] The film had a screenplay written by Akira Murao and Okamoto, and is based on the story Torideyama no jushichinichi ( lit. '17 Days at Fort Mountain') in Yamamoto Shugoro zenshu (1964) by Shūgorō Yamamoto. [1]
