Melendez is known for working on the Peanuts animated specials, as well as providing the voices of Snoopy and Woodstock. Before Peanuts, he previously worked as an animator for Walt Disney Productions, Warner Bros. Cartoons, and UPA.
An animator who worked on early Disney features and at Warner Bros. on classic shorts featuring Bugs Bunny among others, Melendez is most closely associated with bringing Charles M. José Cuauhtémoc "Bill" Meléndez (15 November 1916 – 2 September 2008) was a Mexican-American character animator, film director, voice artist and producer. He is known for his cartoons for Walt Disney Productions (working on four Disney films, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, and Bambi), Warner Bros. Cartoons, UPA, and the Peanuts series.
