Tap on a place marker. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app . Tap on a place marker. At the bottom, tap the place name or address. Scroll and select the photo labeled "Street View." You can also select the thumbnail with a Street View icon . When you’re done, at the top left, tap Back .

Fast forward to today: There are now over 220 billion Street View images from over 100 countries and territories — a new milestone — allowing people to fully experience what it’s like to be in these places right from their phone or computer.
Google Street View is a technology featured in Google Maps and Google Earth that provides interactive panoramas from positions along many streets in the world. It was launched in 2007 in several cities in the United States, and has since expanded to include all of the country's major and minor cities, as well as the cities and rural areas of many other countries worldwide.
Street View stitches together billions of panoramic images to provide a virtual representation of our surroundings on Google Maps.
