Jonnalagadda Venkata Somayajulu (30 July 1920 or c. 1928 – 24 April 2004) was an Indian actor known for his works in Telugu cinema and a few Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam films. In 1981, he received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu for his work in the classic Sankarabharanam .

Apr 27, 2004 · HYDERABAD: Noted actor J V Somayajulu died at a city hospital on Tuesday evening. He was 76. Somaya-julu had been ailing for sometime and had been ad-mitted to the Care Hospital where the end came at 5 pm on Tuesday. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
