Append the string -scOfflineOnly to the GTAV shortcut target. Steps in order. Make a shortcut for GTAV if you have not already. Right click the shortcut. Select properties. In the "target" box, add -scOfflineOnly to the end. It should look like: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\PlayGTAV.exe" -scOfflineOnly.
Does that have to do with me using Parallels Desktop or Mac? Before Parallels I tried on CrossOver and it worked ok-ish, but I did remove CrossOver in favor of Parallels. I tried reinstalling CrossOver on my Mac but Rockstar Launcher cannot even launch this time around. So I'm just stuck here. I have already approached Rockstar's customer service.

Feb 1, 2024 · That doesn't seem to only apply to Windows 7/8 though. Bruh they added the Rockstar Games Launcher post-launch to a lot of their games, and now they're removing support for older operating systems. It's like Rockstar wants to make their games difficult to play. Pirate versions still work though ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯.
Apr 19, 2017 · A few people seem to have success with logging into the Socialclub website (log out if already logged in) with the new password first, then it works in the launcher. Another one if that doesn't work: Update: I deleted Social Club from my computer and reinstalled it.
For both files, right click then click properties, then under Compatibility tab: uncheck Run in Compatibility mode (mine was running on windows 7 mode), then check Run as Administrator, then click apply. After that Rockstar finally launched and updated itself. It may have something to do with the withdrawal of support for W7/8.

I know this is an old thread, but I had the same problem with Rockstar Launcher it just crashing when I pressed play on any of my games, so I thought I come here and post my solution since this thread comes up often when people search google for solution.
