Sep 24, 2023 · It is most definitly a genuine Kingston SSD, I'ts bought from a reputable dealer where I live so we don't have to worry about that. But good suggestion otherwise! I installed Kingston SSD manager, it couldnt even detect the SSD, cause I opened steam 5 minutes prior to installing the manager, but did a reboot and everything is fine, shows good standing. 100% health.
Aug 21, 2022 · It is expected to drop down and settle on some slower speeds. However My speeds settle down on (network 0-40MB/s and disk stable 5-8MB/s). Throughout download cpu doesn't go above 10% utilization, but disk stays at 100% the whole time. No matter if the speed on steam is 100 or 10, in task manager it is always at 100% utilization.

I already tried changing from IDE to AHCI on BIOS (I didn't change it cause it already was on AHCI mode), downloaded the Kingston SSD Manager to update the firmware (is up to date) and i already tried adding that AHCI power save thing ...
Aug 27, 2020 · I intend to use it for installing and playing games from Steam, GOG, Origin, Uplay, Epic and other game clients and stores. I still will have to figure out how to share and port the games on the SSD between my (old) desktop PC and (new) notebook. Both use Windows 10. What I need is an enclosure for the Kingston SSD.
Oct 2, 2023 · My SSD is Kingston SSD 1TB, NV2, M.2 2280 NVMe, PCIe 4.0, SNV2S/1000G. I had all my games on HDD before and it worked good and all, just a bit longer loading screens ofc :D Anyways, since I got a new PC I decided to install Steam and most of the games I play on my C: drive, Starfield too since it says it requires an SSD.

Jan 13, 2023 · Kingston SSDs sucks, learned that the hard way. I had 3 Kingston SSDs, all of them stopped working at some point. Just get a Samsung NVME and be happy. I agree. Kingston makes many good products, SSDs are not one of them. I would use Samsung or Crucial only. With Samsung having a significant advantages.

Sep 7, 2020 · It gets ~2/3 of the way through downloading, before stopping and giving a message saying "DISK WRITE ERROR". I've tried: -Restarting the installation. -Restarting the Steam client. -Restarting the Internet. -Restarting the computer. -Installing games on my HDD (works, but my HDD is full and I need to use my SSD) -Running Steam as an administrator.
