Elwood Gordon Gee (born February 2, 1944) is an American academic administrator. Since 2014, he is serving his second term as president of West Virginia University; [1] [2] his first term there was from 1981 to 1985. Gee is said to have held more university presidencies than any other American. [3]

Prior to his service at Ohio State, he led Vanderbilt University (2001-2007), Brown University (1998-2000), the University of Colorado (1985-1990), and West Virginia University (1981-1985).
