When Badal attends college, he meets with pretty and percocious, Tina Oberoi (Twinkle Khanna), and after a few misunderstanding and misadventures, both fall in love.

As a child, he had witnessed his entire family, his loving father (Alok Nath), mother, and baby sister, murdered in a village massacre by ruthless and corrupt police officer Jaisingh Rana (Ashutosh Rana), who kills people for fun (in this case he massacres the village as he thinks the village has sheltered a terrorist.
