History. A 1998 stamp dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Vidyasagar College. A Bengali educationist named Thakurdas Chakraborty founded Metropolitan Training School (later Calcutta Training School) in 1859 at 1 Arpuly Lane, Kolkata.
