1.I've had some writing experience before but I have some serious weaknesses. I picked a writer who excelled at writing dialogue and was good with character interaction. Most scenes outside the pizzeria were written by her, while most scenes inside the pizzeria were written by me. Even the scenes that I wrote myself, however, were edited by her afterward to clean them up. - Scott Cawthon, Steam - December 17, 2015 @ 8:40 PM

2.Well, this time is wasn't entirely my fault. Amazon has somewhat of a messy release date system. All you can do is click "publish", after which it will go live in 3-5 days (says the website). So based on that, I published it today. Well so much for 3-5 days; it went live immediately. ;) - Scott Cawthon, Steam - December 17, 2015 @ 7:19 AM

3."The games and the books should be considered to be separate continuities, even if they do share many familiar elements. So yes, the book is canon, just as the games are. That doesn't mean that they are intended to fit together like two puzzle pieces. [...] The book is a re-imagining of the Five Nights at Freddy's story, and if you go into it with that mindset, I think you will really enjoy it."

4.The truth is that after a while lore can become so dense that there isn't room for a story anymore. Another truth is that what makes for a good game doesn't necessarily make for a good book. Sometimes a timeline gets so full that the only way to tell a real story is have the story set in a different timeline, an alternate universe, a different location, or perhaps from a vantage point that isn't entirely what it appears to be. - Scott Cawthon, Steam - December 17, 2015 @ 9:06 PM
