- Based on Dhaayum: Aalavandhan directed by Suresh Krishna was inspired by the novel Dhaayum written by Kamal Haasan in 1984. While consulting the legendary filmmaker K Balachander for Aalavandhan, he felt that the film was ahead of its times.
