Westcliff-on-Sea (often abbreviated to Westcliff, and in the past spelt as Westcliffe-on-Sea [2] [3]) is a suburb of the city of Southend-on-Sea, located within the ceremonial county of Essex, England. [4] It is on the north shore of the lower Thames Estuary, about 38 miles (61 km) east of London.

Westcliff-on-Sea Beach is a picturesque seaside town located approximately 30 miles from London, now part of the City of Southend. The beach is known for its fresh air and scenic views across the estuary to Kent. The beach itself is not particularly sandy, with more of a pebbly texture.
