Situated on the River Stour, the town lies around 10 miles (16 kilometres) west of Birmingham.     • Kinver Edge. Just west of Stourbridge is a National Trust site at a sandstone escarpment running roughly north to south. In the millennium before the Romans arrived the ridge was occupied by two hillforts.
