Ricse neve szláv eredetű. Árpád-kori település, melyet még Boleszló váci püspök adományozott a leleszi konventnek. 1609-ben praedium, ekkor a Daróczy család tagjait iktatták be egyes részeibe, 1779-ben pedig Károlyi Antalnak is volt itt birtoka.
