Aug 9, 2021 · Hello @justaquicckquestion. Any threats in quarantine cannot attack you. However, once the trial expires the program will revert back to the free version which can still clean and remove an infection after the fact but it will no longer actively block and prevent the attack in the first place.

But the website says, that the free-version of malwarebytes will also have activated the premium version for the first 14-days (which would result in a parallel real time scan of avast and malwarebytes which I would like to avoid.)
Jul 28, 2018 · The link you posted contains Malwarebytes 3.5 with "legacywos" keyword and I would like to know if it has a special meaning for a special build, or simply version name? Currently Malwarebytes offers "mb3-setup-consumer-3.6.1.2711-1.0.519-1.0.8878" as the latest download and I am not sure which version is the best foe legacy systems like XP.
Feb 2, 2020 · It's not a matter of "if it bothers you to enter yours" - it's that FREE should be FREE (in my humble opinion) - Malwarebytes FORCING a Premium Trial is NOT good Business practise. To date I have always recommended Malwarebytes to my colleagues (and have a PAID subscription myself) but if they insist on this now I will STOP such recommendations.

Jan 15, 2024 · I am clicking "Quit Malwarebytes" from the system tray, yes. But even if I wasn't, it shouldn't get in the way. Since there is no real-time protection with Malwarebytes Free I've noticed that just now, with Malwarebytes not being open after a repair, the Avast web alert for that blacklisted site is intermittent with it popping up or not.
Jan 22, 2018 · Thanks. I've installed Malwarebytes & both it & Bitdefender working together fine (so far). Just added Malwarebytes program files to Bitdefender safe files & all good. I didn't do anything in Malwarebytes, just ran a default scan & it came up clean:-) Bitdefender hasn't had any issues with Malwarebytes either (yet).
