Indrayani Jatra is an annual celebration done at Kathmandu, Nepal. The festival is held for eight days every year, starting on Marga Krishna Ekadashi (late November). The festival is celebrated by both Buddhist and Hindu communities together.
Indrayani, known in Newari as Lunti Ajima, is one of the Astamatrika (The Eight Mother Goddesses). Her temple is down a short flight of stairs to the northwest of Bhaktapur Darbar. Less impressive than the Indrayani temples of Kathmandu or Kirtipur (I've added photos for comparison) but still a shakti pitha (place of cosmic power) worth visiting.

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Indrayani, also called Indrani, who is known as the consort of Indra. The temple is a fairly popular one among locals, as it is situated so close to the heart of inner Bhaktapur.
