In the Photos app on Windows 10, there does not seem be an obvious way to save photos with a lower resolution. All the responses to this I have seen on the help forums either tell people to use.

Jun 24, 2010 · I suppose i found a better way to do this for the problem of large images in Onenote. Instead of using paint.net or irfanview simply press Windows+S key and take a screen clipping to clipboard. then paste the screen clipping into the notes and delete the original image. Nov 10, 2020 · As I know, currently OneDrive does not compress photos. May I know if there is any specific file format that gives you a different file size in OneDrive. There may be a slight difference due to size calculation from windows to cloud but there should not be a significant difference. Regards.
Dec 4, 2017 · Windows 10 Photos application compress images. Hi, I've done minimal crops with the application and I notice that on some of the JPG files the app compress the file size by 70%. Before: file size was 4.5MB with 3024X2005 pixels. After: file size is 1.5MB with 3011X2004 pixels . Do you familiar with this?
