    There is a way in Finale. You go to the second ending measures in speedy entry and click on the note that needs to receive a tie. Then one uses the menu to attach a tie. I don't have Finale with me at the moment to give the exact instructions. And I don't know that print music has that capacity. David

    A composer should write music any way he/she feels comfortable. I always write directly to the computer. You still have to know what you are doing in regard to orchestration. Sometimes the computer makes sections of music sound good but when played by real musicians, it sounds bad. (because its not balanced correctly) Finale is only a tool.
