Kawardha Palace. The Palace in Kawardha, Chhattisgarh is situated in the Maikal Ranges at an altitude of 941 meters above sea level. The palace spreads over eleven acres of land and is built with Italian marble and stone. The main gateway to the Kawardha Palace is known as the Haathi Darwaza, (which means Elephant Gate in Hindi).
