The Nehru Planetarium The planetarium has been making learning Astronomy a pleasant experience. It also has grown into a Center for the scientific study of astronomy and for a meeting of scientists and scholars for discussions and lectures, arranged periodically on various stellar and Astronomical events.

The Nehru Planetarium is a part of the Nehru Centre in Mumbai and was inaugurated in 1977 by the then Prime Minister of India, Smt. Indira Gandhi. It is a Centre for scientific study of astronomy and space science. It is a nice place to visit with school kids and teens. There are 4 shows a day giving information about the planets and galaxies.
Nehru Planetarium presents four shows on the solar system and the universe daily (except Mondays) in different languages. The tickets can be booked online at http://120.63.229.222/npticketing/. Seats on the rear side (not the last row) of the hall have the best view.
