At that time Jason Marsden (VA of Kovu) was called "That guy from that movie/show" and he was also praised as a good looking guy, along with his voice acting capabilities, he can woo any woman. Now for a character's personality, it depends on the VA on how they try to portray the character and how the character progresses in the film/show.
I like his voice performance by legendary Max Goof, Jason Marsden. He has a few nuggets of charm here and there, and his arc from raised assassin to gentle lad is nice. I think my more adverse reactions to him just come from his design and the general consensus that he's the Greatest Character Ever, but who am I to take that away from anyone
