Try as they might, Pat and Margaret cannot outpace their past. US soap queen Pat Bedford jets into London, intending to revive a flagging career. The last thing she needs is to be reunited on national TV with her dowdy long-lost sister Margaret.
But Pat - now Patricia Bedford, star of top American soap Glamor - is mortified at Margaret's unwelcome reappearance. The revelation of her humble origins threatens the carefully-constructed façade of Pat's star persona: "I'm Valerie, Lady Charleson. I'm Knightsbridge, I'm grooming, I'm camisoles.

Synopsis. Unexpected events occur when Pat, a glamorous British-born star of American soaps, returns home to plug her auto-biography on television and meets, for the first time since they were teenagers, Margaret her plain and frumpy younger sister.
Margaret is a down to Earth Northern Waitress, she goes to a live stage show, Magic Moments, where she is surprised to be reunited as the long lost sister of the glamorous queen of soap Pat. Pat is naturally devastated to be associated with a woman who's hair you could go trick or treating in.
