Dec 16, 1992 · “Forever Young” is not one of the most inspired, even though it has its heart in the right place and Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis have some very sweet scenes together. Gibson in particular is good at finding the right balance of innocence and mischief for this material, and does not disappoint fans who expect one bare tush scene per movie.

Forever Young is a 1992 American fantasy romantic drama film directed by Steve Miner and starring Mel Gibson, Elijah Wood, and Jamie Lee Curtis. The screenplay was written by J. J. Abrams from an original story named "The Rest of Daniel".
When Mel Gibson starred in Forever Young in 1992, it was probably an attempt to break away from the wild man of Mad Max and Lethal Weapon. He actually proves to be quite likable as a romantic lead, and makes Forever Young a sweet, endearing romantic fable. In 1939, Mel plays Captain Daniel McCormick, an Air Force test pilot.
FOREVER YOUNG is a wholesome movie with an exuberant ending where love triumphs over all adversity. The film has a believable plot, excellent acting and good pacing. Not only is there no sex, violence, or nudity, but also there is a minimum of foul language.
