Mar 7, 2012 · The film follows the mundane and workaday life of Austrian insurance salesman Michael (Michael Fuith). As it opens, we see him arrive home from work, cook dinner listening to the news on the television and lay the table.
Michael Fuith and David Rauchenberger are applaudable for taking on such controversial roles and absolutely shined. Although the latter part of the story slacks a bit in comparison, there are good twists towards the end that turn things around and end the story on a largely satisfactory note.
Markus Schleinzer’s debut, Michael details several months in the lives of a pedophile (Michael Fuith’s Michael) and the young boy (David Rauchenberger’s Wolfgang) he keeps trapped in his basement.
