Kumbhalgarh (lit. "Kumbhal fort"), also known as the Great Wall of India, is a fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills in the Rajsamand district of the Rajasthan state in India. Situated approximately 84 km (52 mi) from Udaipur, it was built during the 15th century by Rana Kumbha.

4 days ago · Located 84 kms north of Udaipur in the wilderness, Kumbhalgarh is the second most important citadel after Chittorgarh in the Mewar region. Cradled in the Aravali Ranges the fort was built in the 15th century AD by Rana Kumbha.
A Merwar Fortress, Kumbhalgarh is one of the World Heritage Sites and is the second-largest fort in India after Chittorgarh Fort. Covering around 12 square kms, the walls of the fort stretch over an area of about 36 kms and is one of the longest walls in the world, second only to China’s Great Wall!
