Geoje (Korean: 거제; Korean pronunciation: [kʌ̹.dʑe̞]) is a city located in South Gyeongsang province, just off the coast of the port city of Busan, South Korea. Hanwha Ocean in Okpo and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in Gohyeon are both located on Geoje Island.

Oct 15, 2021 · Geoje South Korea is located in the Southern Province of Gyeongsangnamdo. It is just off the coast of Busan and can easily be accessed as a day trip from Busan. It is joined to the mainland of South Korea by a bridge that runs through Tongyeong.
- Geoje Windy Hill. This is one of the most visited places in Geoje and should not be missed if you plan to visit the island. Windy Hill is located in the small fishing village of Dojangpo.
- Sinseondae Observatory. Sinseondae Observatory (신선대 전망대) is very close to Windy Hill,. A quick stop at the observatory is well worth it to enjoy a picturesque view of the beautiful rock formations shaped against the deep blue ocean.
- Hakdong Mongdol Beach. Don’t expect white sand at Hakdong Mongdol Beach, but rather black pebble. This is what makes this beach in Geoje so unique. Hakdong Mongdol Beach stretches over 1.2 km.
- Gujora Beach. Our favorite beach in Geoje was Gujora Beach. Gujora Beach is a stretch of sand (30m wide and 1.1km long) located along the emerald blue ocean.
- Climb Gyeryongsan. With trails starting from within the city of Gohyeon on Geoje Island, this is one of the easiest hikes to get to. In fact, if you are visiting Geoje from outside the island, you can easily get a taxi to the trailheads from the bus terminal.
- Visit Gujora Beach and a Beautiful Cafe. On Geoje island there are a lot of beaches to choose from. One of the most beautiful in my opinion is Gujora Beach located on the south-eastern coast.
- Hakdong Pebble Beach. Geoje Island is quite famous for having quite a few pebble beaches. Unlike your typical sand beaches where they are soft to your feet, these beaches are made up entirely of rocks.
- Watch Sunset at 공곷이. While not very famous to foreigners, I would say this place is not to be missed on your itinerary visiting Geoje Island. This place is located on a remote cape not too far from Wahyeon Beach.
