Trevor Chappell was a right-handed batsman and a medium-pacer who played for Australia in the 1980s. He is best known for his involvement in the underarm delivery against New Zealand in the 1981 World Cup.

- All in the family. Besides having famous sportspersons as brothers, Trevor also had other sporting connections in the family. His father Martin Chappell was a club cricketer, who once made it to the state squad.
- Growing up playing cricket. Quite naturally, Trevor was inclined towards cricket from the beginning. He grew up playing backyard cricket with his brothers.
- Schoolboy cricketer. Trevor was a star schoolboy cricketer. Over the summer of 1969-70, he toured to the Caribbean with the Australian Schoolboys XI, a team that also had future stars such as Gary Gilmour, Gary Cosier and Ian Davis.
- Terrific fielder. Though he was a decent batsman and an average bowler, Trevor’s excellent fielding at cover also brought him under the spotlight. “I figured the cover region was the area where the ball went more often than not, so I thought it was a good spot to field,” he once said.
