It begins in Manikpur, West Bengal, in 1953. A zamindar (Barun Chanda) dotes on his well-educated but impressionable girl, Pakhi (Sonakshi Sinha).
Apr 6, 2023 · The 2013 movie Lootera was one such honest attempt, and the output is nothing short of a gem. Lootera released when I was starting out with a new phase in my life as a hosteller in a B-school. I remember Amit Trivedi 's hummable Sawaar Loon playing regularly on the TV channels in the campus-canteen.
Meaningful movie - something that's lacking in Bollywood these days. Great dialogues by Anurag Kashyap. Good music. Movie did not receive the reception it deserved in the box office.

Melancholia rules the roost in Lootera just like it did in Udaan thanks to the emotional cinematography by Mahendra Shetty.
