Filmmaker Kunal Kohli is best known for directing the Bollywood romantic comedy Hum Tum (2004), which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Director that year. He started out on television, working in shows like Trikon (1990) and Main Anari Tu Anari (1995-`96) early on in his career. Subsequently, Kohli made his directorial debut in Hindi cinema with the romantic drama Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002), which he also wrote.
