Study Abroad and Student Exchange. With Study Abroad, overseas students can attend Lincoln for a semester, while our Student Exchange programme allows LU students to complete part of their study offshore.
Lincoln University ( Māori: Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki) is a public university in New Zealand that was formed in 1990 when Lincoln College, Canterbury was made independent of the University of Canterbury. Founded in 1878, it is the oldest agricultural teaching institution in the Southern Hemisphere.
Lincoln University is New Zealand’s only specialist land-based university. Its purpose is to facilitate excellent research and education to grow the knowledge of its students, and help shape a world that benefits from a greater understanding of the relationships between land, food and ecosystems.
At the same time, we support the University's larger goal of providing a greater understanding of the relationships between land, food and ecosystems. LTL is currently comprised of three teams: Library Services, Centre for Learning and Teaching, and Online Learning.
Established in 1878 as a School for Agriculture, Lincoln University is New Zealand’s third oldest university. Around 3500 students from 60 countries attend the campus. 42% of the student population accounts for international students aiming for higher education in New Zealand .
