Amendment Act 58 of 1991-Statement of Objects and Reasons.-The Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1969 (in short, MRTP Act) came into force with effect from 1st June, 1970.
4.2.1 Section 10 of the MRTP Act, 1969 empowers the MRTP Commission to enquire into monopolistic or restrictive trade practices upon a reference from the Central Government or upon its own knowledge or on information.
