Krishnamachari "Kris" Srikkanth ( pronunciation ⓘ ;born 21 December 1959), also known as Cheeka, is an Indian former cricketer. He was a hard-hitting opening batter and an occasional right arm offbreak bowler. He has served as a captain of the Indian cricket team and chairman of the men's selection committee later.
Kris Srikkanth was an aggressive opener for India who played 43 Tests and 146 ODIs from 1981 to 1992. He was also the captain, coach, selector and icon of India and CSK.
