The story of Un-Go revolves around an old-fashioned detective named Shinjūrō Yuki and his supernatural partner Inga. On the surface, Shinjūrō shows up to a crime scene at the wrong time and reaches the wrong conclusion, earning public mockery as "The Defeated Detective," in contrast to the heroic Rinroku.

Child form
When in this shape, most people refer to Inga as a young boy. According to their design notes, Inga is intended to reflect the “super-detective” fashion style (e.g., Bungo Stray Dogs or Detective Conan). Shapeshifting and flexibility
Inga has the ability of partially or completely changing the shape of their body. For example, when trying to reach for a doll under a closet, Inga extends their arms to get a hold of it. In other occasion, they are also seen slipping through tight space (broken walls) to reach another room. Most notably, Inga transforms from a teenager to an adult woman when using their powers for Shinjūrō .
Unusual strength and speed
Inga has unusual strength. In episode 5, their arms become larger and very muscular, using this ability to break Shimada's tank and revealing countless golden bars. In the final episode, Inga uses their strength to wrestle Bettenō. In Episode 0, Inga uses their speed to catch-up with Shinjūrō after he escaped the police and also to prevent Serada from shooting Shinjūrō.
Healing
