Parimarjan Negi has become India's youngest Grandmaster, when he achieved the third and the Final GM norm at Chelyabinsk Region Superfinal Championship at Satka in Russia. At the age of 13 years and 142 days, Parimarjan Negi broke the previous Indian record of Pentala Harikrishna, who did it at the age of 15 years and 99 days, in August 2001.
