Brief History. The National Cadet Corps was raised in January 1950 and was located at Delhi Cantt. To start with, it was named as Headquarters 7 Circle Cadet Corps and constituted the States of Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Union Territory of Delhi.
Dec 19, 2022 · National Cadet Corps Officers Training School was established on 01 Mar 1957 by Lt Col CJ Wates at Kamptee. The academy was formally inaugurated by Sardar Surjit Singh Majithia, the then Deputy Defence Minister on 06 May 1957. In Mar 1979, NCC OTA at Purandhar was merged with the school.
For NCC candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties) 19 to 25 years as on 01 Jul 2021 ( born not earlier than 02 Jul 1996 and not later than 01 Jul 2002; both dates inclusive ).
