We are present in nine districts of North-East Karnataka: Bagalkot, Ballari, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayanagar and Yadgir. We have also begun work in Bengaluru, Chamarajnagar, Mandya and Ramanagara. We have Azim Premji Schools in Bengaluru, Kalaburagi and Yadgir.
Azim Premji set up the Foundation in 2001. Over the past years, he has irrevocably donated most of his wealth for philanthropic purposes and created a philanthropic endowment valued (as of Jan 2023) at approximately USD 29 billion ( INR 2,40,000 crore) to fund the work of the Foundation.
Jul 20, 2024 · The Karnataka government and the Azim Premji Foundation on Saturday signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) agreeing to provide eggs four days a week, as a part of special nutrition food, for midday meals at all government schools.. Currently, the government is already providing eggs two days a week and with this initiative, government school students will get eggs six days a week.
