Mingw-w64 is an advancement of the original mingw.org project, created to support the GCC compiler on Windows systems. It has forked it in 2007 in order to provide support for 64 bits and new APIs. It has since then gained widespread use and distribution.

Apr 29, 2020 · I am desperately trying to install the latest version of mingw-w64 to get acess to gcc 10 on windows 10. I used the online installer for mingw-w64 in the past, but it is still stuck in 2018 on 8.1.0 and seems to be abandoned. So i tried installing it manually.
