Vaibhavi Merchant is an Indian dance choreographer working in Bollywood films. She won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for the song Dholi Taaro Dhol Baaje from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999.
She is the granddaughter of renowned choreographer B. Hiralal Merchant. She began taking her formal dance training at the age of five under the tutelage of Late Sushree Madhurita Sarang. She learned another dance form Bharatnatyam from “Shri Rohinton Cama” and Western Classical from “Martha Da Cunha.”.
