Applications are invited for Jul 2024 from eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D. and M.S. (by Research) programmes under regular/part-time/external schemes of IIT Madras from 01 st March 2024.
Admissions to over 3000 seats across 89 postgraduate programmes at 21 IITs will be coordinated by IIT Madras for the academic year 2024-25. Applications must be submitted through the JAM 2024 website between April 10 and April 29, 2024 (5 PM).

The School of Data Science and AI at IIT Madras offers MS/PhD programmes in a variety of areas. We welcome applicants from diverse departments with an applied interest in AI/ML, as well as students from EE/CS/AI departments who are interested in fundamental research areas in AI/ML. Mar 17, 2024 · Admission process. Admission to our MS/PhD programs are through interviews held twice a year-roughly in May and November. The interview will be preceded by a screening test. Students with undergraduate or graduate degrees in mechanical, electrical, electronics, biomedical, or allied branches are welcome to apply for MS/Ph.D programs. Applications are open throughout the year for Ph.D. Selection is based on a written test and interview.
