Feb 14, 2022 · Therefore the legislature enacted the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970 (which came into force on 10th February, 1971) to regulate the adequate functioning of the contract labourers and to prevent the exploitation of contract labourers by the hands of management.
Contract Labour Act. This act has been enacted to regulate the employment of contract labour in certain establishments and to provide for its abolition in certain circumstances and for matters connected therewith.
Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970, (Act 37 of 1970) the Central Government hereby appoints the 10 th of Feb. 1971, as the date from which all the provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
