At face value, 'Atrangi Re' does provide adequate entertainment value and the film holistically has its heart set in the right place. Unlike many other mainstream titles, The humour isn't a complete disappointment here.

Here, he rises above the clunkiness of his character, treading between a dutiful familial union and falling in love with a strange stranger. Rating: 1.5 out of 5.

Here, they concoct a love triangle which isn't what it seems. The story takes unexpected turns. It hopscotches across the country and touches on myriad subjects including groom kidnapping in Bihar, honour killing, mental illness, magic.

It would have been interesting to see supporting characters add more flavour to the storyline. Also, scenes involving Sara’s character and how Dhanush's Vishnu reacts to her big revelation can feel a bit misconstrued.
