Ranjeet (born as Gopal Singh Bedi; 12 September 1941), is an Indian actor and film director. [1] [2] He has mostly played villain roles in over 200 Hindi films. Ranjeet has also played a positive character in the TV series Aisa Des Hai Mera. [3]
He directed 2 movies in the 90s, “Ghazab Tamasha” and “Kaaranama.” He also appeared in a TV serial called “Aisa Des Hai Mera.” It was Sunil Dutt, who recommended his name for “Sharmeelee”, after watching his performance in “Sawan Bhadon” and “Reshma Aur Shera.” He was a football goalkeeper during his college days.
