When a guy that Diana gets involved with, Grant, reveals himself to be an insurance agent, the Sliders help him catch a burglar while stealing the diamond they are helping him protect. It's revealed that the burglar is Monique Mansfield who became interested in Mallory and is actually a cross-dressing man.
The Sliders are relieved to find themselves in a normal world, but Rembrandt (Cleavant Derricks) notices that the timer is malfunctioning. It keeps counting ...

Plot: The Sliders are in a 'normal' kind of world. Remmy and Mallory are talking in the street, while Maggie and Dianaare in a show shop trying on shoes. Before this, Diana has said to them that they are moving closer and closer to Remmy's home world. Then the timer starts suddenly going screwy.
