Kabir Khan is an Indian film director, screenwriter and cinematographer who works in Hindi cinema. He started his career working in documentary films, and then made his feature film directorial debut in 2006 with the adventure thriller Kabul Express. He is best known for directing New York (2009), Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015).
Ek Tha Tiger is the first instalment of the shared universe and was released on 15 August 2012 worldwide. The film earned ₹325 crore worldwide [9] against a budget of ₹75 crore, [10] becoming one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films by international gross .
