Sudha Chandran (born 27 September 1965) is an Indian Bharatanatyam dancer and actress who appears in Indian television and films. In 1981, she hurt her right leg in a road accident near Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu while coming back from Madras with her parents Her right leg became gangrenous and her parents opted to have it amputated.

Jul 13, 2023 · Born in 1965 on September 27th in Mumbai, India, Sudha Chandran’s family originally came from Vayalur, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. Her father, K.D. Chandran, was a former actor. She graduated from Mithibai College in Mumbai, where she earned her B.A.degree. She subsequently attained an M.A. in economics. A tragic accident resulted in the amputation of her leg in 1980. However, she was able to get a prosthetic and make her way back to the world, becoming a Bharatnatyam dancer.
