May 23, 2024 · Tarragona Tapas/Drinks Bars. Similar to vermouth but with more pronounced herby flavours, this is the local’s choice of afternoon aperitif. Served chilled and long (sometimes over ice with a slice of orange), vermut is made from local white grapes and is honestly absolutely delicious. My advice is to head from the beach back into the old quarter, where the bars, plazas, and terraces buzz with visitors and locals alike by late afternoon.
