The duo of Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone again proved lucky for him as he was awarded the “National Award in the Best Director category” for his movie, Bajirao Mastani. Interestingly, Bhansali had first announced the film in 2003; however, it took him around 11 years to finalize the project.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a multi-talented person who wrote, directed and produced numerous films during his career. He is best known for his films like Devdas (2002), Black (2005), Mary Kom (2014), and Bajirao Mastani (2015) for which he received the National Film Awards.
