Underworld U.S.A. (also known as Underworld USA) is a 1961 American neo-noir [2] crime film produced, written, and directed by Samuel Fuller. It tells the story of a 14-year-old boy who goes to enormous lengths to get revenge against the mobsters who beat his father to death.
He’s really good at writing interweaving layered mystery plots and while they weren’t needed for the previous installments of the trilogy, seeing it reintroduced in the third installment made me remember how much I actually missed that side of him as a writer.
Underworld 2003 was a fun movie, great action/horror and it was damn good fun. I thought it was just cheesy enough to be campy in a good way, but it had a good plot and fun characters. Underworld: Evolution was an excellent follow up with more adventure/horror and damn was the ending satisfying.

Underworld USA is one of Fuller more underrated films. It was made after his classic pickup on south street and before his great later work of naked kiss and shock corridor. But while not as good as those films underworld USA is a great piece of noir and a most for any Fuller fan.
