Mudhalvan (transl. Chief Minister) is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language political action film produced by R. Madhesh and S. Shankar, co-written and directed by Shankar. The film stars Arjun, Manisha Koirala, and Raghuvaran in lead roles, while Vadivelu and Manivannan appear in supporting roles.

  2. Mudhalvan is the best for me. Mudhalvan is without the usual "kill one by one in a unique way" revenge template which he used in multiple movies including 'Indian'. Also no sad tragic flashbacks. Though it happens here as well but not a flashback and drives the character further.

  3. While Mudhalvan represents an excellent movie by itself, the director had already produced a movie which was simply much bigger and better, earlier, which thus takes expectations a bit higher. One of the subjects handled in Mudhalvan, namely caste-based politics and vote banks, is very important.

  4. Mudhalvan is one of my favourite movies that I cherished in my childhood. It has an innumerable number of goosebumps moments, which helped elevate the memorable scenes–Right from the Interview scene to the thunderous payoff with the antagonist.
